Apple apple... appplllee..
I finally got a nice phone call from the executive offices over at Apple Computer. They're searching for a part. If this were the first repair, I'd be really overjoyed right now. "Gee, they're looking for a part! I might get my laptop back so I can do *blah*". Not feeling this way now. In fact I'm decidely not excited about this development or it's (possibly) pending return. I'm really saddened by this whole experience. There was a time where I was giddy about new hardware or technology. Tho I do want a Core 2 Duo box as soon as i can have one :). I'm ripe for a nice new PC in the next couple years.
Anyway, this really is strike 2.. and these strikes are big. I mean service requested Jul-06. It's Jul-17 now. I know they didn't get it until the 10th, but this is the second multi-week repair in a row. They either must have a lot of these broken MacBooks (im guessing this is the problem), or they must really suck at providing customer support now.
I have to send my powerbook in for a screen repair just after this so I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops. The second repair will be all for the entertainment value.
